Extra little things I forgot to write down last night . . .
Ajit was at Ravelations XD;; we used to sing at St Paul's, so I probably haven't seen him in maybe 2 or 3 years. Apparently, I still win at small world syndrome :P and his cousin is one of the Ravelations organisers.
I thought there was something else, but I can't think of it now . . . hmm.

I made it back from a week at Arapiles. One of the highlights of the week was leading the third pitch of watchtower crack, one of the two grade 16 pitches in the 95m of climbing (the other is the final pitch, which Adam led). Watchtower crack is the line in this picture (only the upper two pitches are completely visible here, there's 2 pitches of climbing to get up into the cave):
Yes, stepping out and around that roof was very, very full on.

So, this weekend was awesome :D And I'm getting this out now to save time & memory later :P
Friday night, I only stayed at work for one beer, then came home to see Selina before she went to work. Caught the train out to Frankston for Leah's gig, soon after, and it was great :) The band before was pretty good, too, then Zane and I got to do lights for A Lonely Crowd :B
I thought we had a lunch thing on on Saturday, but it was actually dinner, and then cancelled anyway. People started showing up after 9 for pre-Ravelations festivities, and we headed down just before 1. The music was quite good all night, but not as dark as I was expecting. CPU played an awesome set, and Ozzy went off for a while, too.
We got back around 6, but stayed up with music for a while, and also watched an MSI concert DVD that Leigh brought over. People disappeared until only Leigh was left sleeping on the couch. We went out for breakfast at Grill'd (new one in Degraves St -- and they've got beer! ^^;;), watched some movies, and just generally sat around.
A weird/interesting thing I noticed . . . at Ravelations, I had a strong, hard to explain, awesome slightly removed movie-rave-dancey feeling. Like, lots of colours and lasers, and in-my-brain-slow-motion, lights shining through my hair, and euphoria. It was unexpected, and a little insane :)
This Tuesday, there's an IGDA meetup at Embassy (Queensbridge, ex QBH), for all you games/programmery-type people :) I chucked it in the DMF calendar, in case anyone's interested. |

Friday night Nat, Tanya, Diana and i dined on Lygon Street. We later watched a movie at Nova called 'Moon'. Definitely worthwhile, it kept me guessing and entertained. And that was the extent of my social life this weekend. Joni is at EGA and i had only an appointment with my tax accountant scheduled.
It's not often that i have nothing scheduled on a weekend. I feel that i don't spend enough time by myself with nothing to do but sloth. I found it entirely pleasurable, but i grew bored of it faster than i anticipated. It's Sunday evening and i couldn't see myself enjoying another day of games and dvds.
Strange that i usually seek this kind of activity when i grow bored of it so quickly. I must require constant varied stimuli, human interaction, environmental change.
At least i won't want to do this 2moro. I've been slack with Yoga and this week i want to get into it again.

It appears I perhaps did not pay my last phone bill... or something else is wrong. Anyhow, hopefully Joni will be here shortly, so if anyone needs to contact me urgently call her as we have no home phone. It is a seriously odd feeling to have no phone at my disposal.
And yes, I have now paid money into phone account... how long will it take to start working again? |

Ok, so I finally got around to calling Rosemary Nixon, the dermatologist that Ms Mupper recommended, I now have an appointment in march, but the lady who took my booking said I need a referral to actually see her...
I'm a little confused as to how it works and the office lady wasn't exactly volunteering information at all. In fact once she heard I didn't have a referral and that I'd just found RN's contact details off the internet after hearing she was a good dermatologist she became pretty keen to get me off the phone... I've still got the booking though.
So from the few snippets I got from her I figure I need to make an appointment with a GP and then basically walk in and give the details of the referral I want. Seems a bit odd to me. |

Well, that definitely felt like a long weekend . . . Friday was Psy and Strippers (and you were there! and you were there!!) Saturday morning and afternoon were spent at Kupp's, with much music, shit-talking, and Dr. Tran. No barbecue, but maybe the sunburn made up for it :P
We nabbed Kelly, Luke, and AJ for some RockBand and chats. And then it was Sunday. Right now, I can't think what happened, so I'll just go with "nothing" until someone reminds me :P Work on Monday wasn't too interesting, but that night was Golgotha/Cabaret Nocturne. The music wasn't too awesome, but I had fun talking to friends and randoms alike (which is slightly out of the ordinary for me).
Cup Day, Ash woke me up for breakfast, which we ended up having at No. Five. He went out with Selina to buy a new phone, then we jetted over to the Fenotorium for racing barbecues :D Had a lovely time, and managed to squeeze in some squishes, too ;) After we made it home, Steve and Leigh dropped in. We got pizza, and watched a bunch of Harvey Birdman :B
Today I got a Hackintosh to work on Simpsons iPhone . . . it's a bit rubbish, but I should be getting a new Mac Mini soon. Tomorrow is meant to be a dinner for Lee's birthday, and also an A Lonely Crowd gig in Frankston . . . Saturday night is Ravelations, too. Busy Busy :D |
